Nicole Cohen is a transactional and litigation attorney with experience in real estate, intellectual property and general business matters.
Nicole’s intellectual property practice specializes in protecting and enforcing intellectual property for a diverse group of clients active in the entertainment, health and fitness, sports, cosmetics and apparel industries. As the Manager of Trademarks at Raines Feldman, she interacts with her clients by managing vast domestic and international trademark portfolios, preparing cease and desist letters and handling trademark enforcement issues, including domain name transfers and ICANN domain name dispute resolution. Nicole prosecutes trademark applications, maintains trademark registrations and initiates, prosecutes and defends opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
In her real estate practice, Nicole represents industrial and commercial landlords, individuals and brokers. She has concentrated her focus on handling landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, and purchase and sale and leasing transactions. Nicole’s litigation experience concentrates on contract, entertainment and general business related litigation.
Prior to joining Raines Feldman LLP, Nicole worked at an insurance litigation firm and also externed for the Honorable Michael I. Levanas for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Prior to becoming an attorney Nicole worked at a prominent Los Angeles based real estate investment firm.
In addition to her legal practice, Nicole often dedicates her time to numerous nonprofit activities. Nicole is a graduate of Team Beverly Hills, an interactive program that educates individuals on the City of Beverly Hills and its departments, commissioners, and general community issues. Nicole is a member of the Bet Tzedek New Leadership Council, an organization that raises money and offers free legal services in the Los Angeles area.
