DECEMBER 27, 2024: On December 26, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order vacating its December 23, 2024 order and reinstating the injunction of the Corporate Transparency Act. The nationwide injunction of the Corporate Transparency Act is again in effect. Pending further order of the court, companies are not required to file reports under the Corporate Transparency Act, although they may voluntarily do so. FinCEN has issued a statement that it will comply with the injunction. This is the fourth iteration of CTA deadlines in less than a month. An expedited appeal schedule remains in effect. The Raines CTA Team continues to monitor these developments closely. Stay tuned for further CTA updates.
