Mongell has represented Fortune 500 companies, private entities, REITs, media and entertainment entities, healthcare, hospitality and leisure entities, joint ventures, and non-profit organizations in numerous real estate, corporate, and finance matters pertaining to, among other items, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, construction, development, finance, AIA Contract Documents®, association agreements, Qualified Opportunity Zones, sale-leasebacks, entitlements, and general asset management strategies regarding a variety of national and international real estate portfolios in excess of $5 billion. Mongell has represented the National Football League, Union Station Redevelopment Corporation, lessee from the United States Government of Washington, DC’s Union Station, JBG Companies and more regarding various real estate matters, including, among other current clients, the representation of a National planned community developer in the acquisition and development of planned communities.

Mongell’s clients have a profound appreciation for his practical, first-hand experience in all levels of real estate that is unique to his practice. Mongell is a seasoned developer and his projects have included, among others, an award-winning, mixed-use, urban infill multi-family building that was designed to meet LEED Gold Certification, a variety of commercial urban-infill, sustainably designed projects, and International development projects in Saint Kitts & Nevis, Leeward Islands, West Indies.

Mongell’s experienced business-centric practice is highlighted by his client engagements, in-demand speaking requests before the ULI, the US Green Building Council, and delivering a Congressional Briefing hosted by the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, and more. Mongell was selected as one of ten U.S. delegates to participate in a Study Trip hosted by Presence Switzerland, part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, regarding strategic business opportunities between the U.S. and Switzerland. Mongell was selected as one of four inaugural Regional Advocacy Consultants by the US Green Building Council to provide certain services and advocacy support for each USGBC Chapter located in the Heartland and Florida/Caribbean Regions and elected representatives regarding various advocacy initiatives and policy implementations on a local, state and/or federal level.
