
Overview
Hamid R. Rafatjoo is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience representing clients in complex transactions and reorganizations across the U.S. He works with companies and individuals in various industries such as healthcare, retail, hospitality, entertainment, and real estate, ranging from family-owned businesses to billion-dollar enterprises. Hamid’s practice spans business formation, corporate restructuring, debt and equity transactions, workouts, acquisitions, contract structuring, and litigation management.
He is known for his results-oriented approach and has also served as an independent director and a Chapter 11 trustee. Hamid holds Martindale-Hubbell’s AV® Preeminent Peer Rating, the highest standard for ethics and legal ability. He has been named a “Super Lawyer” annually since 2007 and is recognized by Chambers USA for his excellence in Bankruptcy/Restructuring law in California.
Hamid began his career clerking for the Honorable John E. Ryan, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, from 1995–1996. Before joining Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, he was a partner at Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP and Venable LLP. His deep experience and strategic guidance make him a trusted advisor in high-stakes corporate and insolvency matters.
