Overview
Simon is the Managing Partner of Raines Feldman Littrell’s New York office, where he focuses his litigation and appellate practice on complex commercial and business disputes, particularly involving closely held companies. Often known as a “business divorce” attorney, Simon represents clients in partnership and corporate dissolution proceedings, shareholder disputes, joint venture conflicts, and fiduciary duty cases. His clients span a variety of industries, including professional service firms, investment banks, hedge funds, and family-owned businesses.
Simon has particular expertise representing law, accounting, and advisory firms in matters involving formation, dissolution, partner departures, and employment separations. He also handles administrative proceedings involving New York City government and disputes involving trade secrets and employment issues.
In addition to his litigation practice, Simon serves as a court-appointed mediator for both the New York State Supreme Court’s Commercial Division and the Southern District of New York, and he is a certified Part 36 receiver.
His notable victories include a $9 million settlement for a hedge fund partner and favorable outcomes in high-stakes fiduciary duty, shareholder, and employment-related disputes. Simon’s reputation as a resolution-driven litigator is complemented by his deep experience in mediation and his commitment to pragmatic, client-centered results.
