Overview
David Spiegel is a Corporate and Wealth Preservation, Tax & Succession Planning associate in the Chicago office of Raines.
He advises businesses on a variety of tax and non-tax matters, including like-kind exchanges, acquisitions, dispositions, divisions, and reorganizations. Further, he counsels high-net-worth individuals and families regarding their estate-planning needs.
David attended law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating with a concentration in Business and Corporate Law. While at USD, David served as a student clerk in the school’s Federal Income Tax Clinic, where he represented low-income individuals in active disputes with the IRS. In 2024, David graduated with honors from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s LL.M. in Taxation program. While at Northwestern, he was a Staff Editor for The Tax Lawyer.
